Shoulders strength, dolphin pose

Headstands are called “HEAD – STAND” however, we barely place our body weight on our head.

In fact, most of the body weight is on our forearm and shoulders. Developing strong shoulders, without being said, it’s key.

Dolphin pose is certainly one of the most effective and mean poses to do. I remembered the first time I tried Dolphin pose, my elbows opened and I face planted. Those were NOT strong shoulders. 

Before even thinking about lifting our legs from the floor we have so much work to do.

Here a classic Dolphin pose and a Headstand dolphin. In the second variation we have the same arm position of a bound headstand but our head is lifted one inch from the ground. 

These two exercises will definitely help strengthening your shoulder
