How doesn’t want strong Ballerina legs?

Today I am sharing a not Yoga Tutorial, but it will also help you with your Yoga practice.
The next 6 Exercises are designed to improve your core and legs strength, plus dynamic flexibility.
In a barre class battements are at the end, when our body is warmed up properly, and all the muscles are engaged, so be sure to practice these after your regular practice.

Using ankle weights will add a extra effort, for maximum results

Exercise 1
Grant battement jete a la premiere
Lie down
Place the hands underneath your butt
Tippy toes pointed
Inhale kick up the leg, cross-way your torso (right leg toward the left shoulder and vice-versa)
Exhale lower the leg, without touching the floor
The lower back is pressing on the floor
Repeat x 10 times each leg

Exercise 2
As above but with flexed feet
Repeat x 10 times each leg


Exercise 3
Grand Battement Jete a la seconde
Lie down on the side
Inhale kick up the leg, behind the back
Exhale lower the leg, without touching the floor
Press your forearm and hand on the floor
Repeat x 10 times each leg

Exercise 4
As above but with flexed feet
Repeat x 10 times each leg

Exercise 5
Straddle Jetes
Place the hands underneath your butt
Tippy toes pointed
Inhale bring the legs up. Make an angle of 90 degrees with your legs and torso
Exhale lower the leg, if you are flexible enough touch the floor with the toes
The lower back is pressing on the floor
Repeat x 10 times

Exercise 6
As above but with flexed feet
Repeat x 10
